Creating Services and Products that are Packaged for Easy Decision Making

In business, your product or service might truly be beneficial to a customer, but that doesn't necessarily mean your product or service will be selected by customers. If you haven't learned already, markets are fickle and customers are hard to pick up their decisions need to be made easy and, in order to succeed in business, you'll have to help them in the process.

If you've ever heard the saying, You eat with your eyes, then you already have an idea about what goes through a customers head when they're viewing your product/service. They're checking out the packaging.

In this instance, were not only speaking about product packaging, like the colorful box you see on store shelves, but more about the all-around packaging of your product/service; i.e. how its being marketed and viewed by potential customers.

First up, think about what you want to buy as a consumer and the type of products and services that attract you and why they attract you. Even if you're a businessperson, you're still a consumer. Focus on how things are presented to you and take note of what catches your eye about someones products or services.

Is it some type of advertisement they have? What about the way their website is laid out is that helping with your decision?

Also take time to look a competitors product/service that you're not using and take note of the differences. In every single instance, you should realize that one is packaged a lot better than the other.

The way your product/service is presenting in the mainstream is going to be the real deciding factor. If a customer has to actually mull over what you're offering in order to make their decision, then they will probably end up going somewhere else.

A few things to remember when packaging your product or service for presentation include:

Always stick within your market. Whether were speaking about the overall presentation or the specific packaging of a product, you don't want to go with anything that could be misleading or anything that's not specific to your particular niche.

Make your presentation stand out from other competitors in the market. Take a look at what they're offering and streamline your service correctly. Make it more accessible, more customer-friendly, more expedient, and more appealing by focusing on what someone wants from your product/service.

Always make sure that you're informative and friendly. Don't come across as pushy in any aspect of your product/services presentation. Tell people what it is, how its good for them, and also how it stands out.

The idea is to make a customers decision easy by putting them at ease. If they're looking at your particular niche, then there's a good chance they need what you're selling. Create a convincing package and customers will choose your business time and again.
