How to Find a Niche
26 October 2011

Marketing is a rather difficult thing if you go about it in the wrong way. If done correctly, however, it can not only be easy but also bring you incredible results for your business. Marketing done incorrectly, on the other hand, like marketing too broadly, will waste time, money and quickly drive your business into the ground.
Finding a niche market for your business's product and/or service is the best way to go about searching for, communicating with and driving traffic to your business. A niche is already more likely to be interested in what you're selling, and it requires no magic, if you will, to communicate with them.
You will only have to stand above competition within that niche and not the entire market in general.
Well look at a three-step process here that will help you find, identify and ultimately market to your respective niche of choice.
One: Letting someone else find the niche for you
Sure, there are various ways you can put in the hard work and find a niche market yourself, but they all take a back seat to preexisting and working methods that are both free and incredibly easy to use.
There are quite a few websites out there that offer great ways to help you find a niche, including big-name sites like Clickbank and Amazon.
A niche market is essentially a smaller, specialized market within a larger market. For example: if diet supplements make up one large market, then protein power is a niche within. Using Clickbank, you can take your product/service and find its respective niche.
To use a site like this to discover a niche, you will search the Marketplace option. You're not going to promote affiliate products here; instead, you will be looking for various markets related to your business until you discover a niche by narrowing your focus.
Amazon and other popular sites will help you to discover exactly whats in demand and whats luring people in. If you can really narrow things down and find a niche within a niche, you can then streamline a course of attack to draw in customers.
Two: Find out what your niche is surfing
By using keyword tools, like Google AdWords, for example, you can find out which phrases and words your niche market is using to search the Internet for products. From here, of course, you will know exactly how to target your niche.
