Thinking in Abundance is Vital to Long Term Growth

If you're a regular person with regular feelings and emotions, you're probably confused when you read about all the different ways of thinking out there as they relate to business and your day-to-day life in general. There's assertive thinking, positive visualization, and even something called abundance thinking. How can your brain process all these patterns?

The idea in these quasi-systems is to develop a way of thinking that helps to guide you through decisions. Essentially, you're looking to change your psyche and to act automatically using these many tools. However, that's a hard thing to do. Its not a great idea to partition your brain, and its quite possible that it could be impossible to do so anyway.

Luckily, abundance thinking isn't like a program in its nature and, if you're serious about wanting to achieve long-term growth in your business, thinking in abundance even if you don't realize you're doing so is probably the only way its going to happen.

What does it mean to think in abundance? Well, this can be described in a few different ways. To try to put the best face on it, lets use an unthinkable situation as an example. Say you're in a disaster area with many victims. Do you take what you want and find shelter, or do you find what you need and lend a hand?

The latter in this scenario, taking what you need and helping, is what abundance thinking really is. You're not necessarily making any assumptions that you'll get what you need, but you're willing to sacrifice what you want while subconsciously being assured that you'll find what you need down the road. The more immediate importance is placed on the need instead of the want.

How would abundance thinking ever work in long-term business growth if its not the proverbial take-what-you-want way of doing business? It all has to do with the way you conduct business and treat your customers.

When you're thinking in abundance, you're seeing the entire forest but not expecting every tree in it to bear fruit for the picking. In other words, you're still examining all the angles, you still approach business with a positive mindset, and you're still going through the meticulous motions of making sure you're in the best position to achieve success.

The difference in thinking in abundance is that you're not looking for immediate payoff after every turn on the long business road. As you can imagine, this is a very helpful way to approach business.

Look at it this way. If you were expecting big things and big things never happened, then even the most positive attitude can turn negative and affect your mindset in irreparable ways.
